The term psychedelic comes from Humphry Osmond and Aldous Huxley, combining the Greek words psychē (soul)  and dēloun (to make visible, to reveal)  to make psychedelic (soul-revealing, mind-manifesting). 

 

Inspired by this, we coined a term combining the Greek words psychē (soul) and techne (craftsmanship, craft, or art)  to make psychetechne (soul-arts, mind-craft, etc) to reflect our goals of creating artwork that both illuminates inner truths about the mind and stimulates thought while adding a touch of whimsy.
